Rob's work schedule was really crazy for the month of August, as he was filling in on many nights and weekends. However, this gave him some weekdays off which is really nice for getting out and exploring with less crowds. On this beautiful Thursday we headed up to Multnomah Falls, which is in the Columbia Gorge area and is absolutely stunning. We loved driving along the historic highway and found many other places to explore in the future. We didn't realize what a hike it was to the top of the falls but we made it, Breckin took turns on our backs and hiked quite a bit on his own, and it was so worth it when we saw the view and cooled off in the fresh water.
Breckin started off the morning with his cup of "coffee", he loves to mimic mommy and daddy with their oh so important morning coffee!

When we left the falls we drove around the Cascade Locks area, again beautiful, and let Breckin get a little nap in. Then we decided to check out the Bonneville Dam Fish Hatchery, let me just say it was not what I was expecting! It is a gorgeous park like setting with neat old buildings and Breckin thought the fish were the coolest thing ever. I think that the fish hatchery rivals the zoo! When we left he was crying, "more shish, more shish", too cute!
